Uganda Prime Minister has assured tourists that the on-going fighting in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo has not affected Uganda’s National Parks on the common borders.

According to The New Vision a Kampala Daily, Mbabazi was touring Kabale and Kanungu districts at the weekend.He said Uganda Peoples Defense Forces (UPDF) and counter terrorism Police are doing a good job of protecting Uganda’s border with Eastern Congo.

“Our tourism has not been affected because what is happening in Eastern Congo has no capacity to spill over into Uganda,”the Premier emphasised.

“All our visitors are ready to visit the Uganda’s national parks as usual and we commend Uganda’s security forces for being on the guard, “Ivan Mbabazi, a tour tour operator and owner of Bunyonyi overland Resort reported.
