TRUCK RAMS, DROWNS AT KARUMA BRIDGE

KIRYANDONGO- A Mercedes SINO trailer registration number UAT 113F overturned at Karuma bridge drowning instantly.

According to eyewitnesses, the trailer coming from Elegu was overspeeding a distance close to the bridge before the driver lost control and rammed into the high-speed waterfalls.

There is no any trace of a trailer that can be seen at the scene, however, bottles of beer are seen broken and scattered all over the point of the ram. It is suspected that the overspeeding driver was drunk leading to loss of accident.

Eye witnesses say that the trailer had 3 passengers (2 males including the driver and one female).

Police investigations have sparked off to establish the real cause of the accident and identify the casualties.
