Manchester United have confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo will make a sensational return to Old Trafford after they agreed a fee with Juventus for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner. Ronaldo is expected to sign a two-year deal subject to being granted a visa and passing a medical, with United having agreed to pay an initial €15m to the Italian club plus up to €8m in bonuses.

Bayern Munich and Germany Legend Gerd Muller has Died at the age of 75.

The striker scored 68 goals in 62 appearances for West Germany, including the winning goal in the 1974 World Cup final as they defeated Netherlands 2-1 in Munich.

Affectionately known as ‘Der Bomber’, Muller originally joined Bayern in the summer of 1964 and won the Intercontinental Cup, three European Cups and a European Cup Winners’ Cup as well as the Bundesliga and DFB Cup four times each.

The Federation of African Journalists (FAJ) has condemned what it calls attempts by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to “manipulate” African journalists into speaking out against the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

In a resolution released on Wednesday, the FAJ expressed “dismay” over efforts by the UAE to “manipulate journalists’ organisations in Africa to issue public statements or campaign against the 2022 FIFA World Cup”

BUL FC has defeated Onduparaka FC by three goals to one during their home game played at the Jinja-based Kyabazinga Stadium on Saturday.

BULFC’s goals were scored by Deogratius Ojok in the 15th minute, while Joseph Semujju who was fouled in the 18-yard box scored their second goal through a penalty in the 45th minute. Simon Oketch, a second-half substitute scored the third goal in the 74th minute of the game.
