The Uganda Peoples Congress (UPC) has congratulated Joshua Cheptegei, Peruth Chemutai, Jacob Kiplimo, and the entire team for winning gold, silver, and bronze medals for the country that saw the Uganda Flag flying high in the just concluded Olympic Games 2020, held in Tokyo, Japan. 

UPC has also implored government to increase infrastructure for sports, saying the move will combat the exploitation of youth in sports.

Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters on Uganda House, UPC head of communication Muzeyi Faizo said the UPC wants government to allocate more funds to sports and distributed equitably, increase and develop infrastructure for sports with stadiums and gymnasiums in all regions of Uganda.
