Lwengo – Locals of Lwempazi and other neighboring villages in Kyazanga, Lwengo district blasted the area member of parliament for Bukoto West Muhammad Muyanja Ssentayi and Isaac Ssejoba for Bukoto Mid-West #WhisperEyeNews

They attended the launch of three roads that are going to be maintained in the district through the Uganda Roads Fund program.

The three roads are; Katovu – Kayikolongo, Kitooro – Ndgwe, and Lwempazi – Busibo which will cost over one hundred million Uganda shillings (Ugx.100m).

A section of married women at Lwempazi were very bitter after the master of the ceremony ordered the area Mp Muyanja to come and deliver his speech.

MP Muyanja asked locals and leaders to work as a team in the remaining years before elections to develop their district. Before concluding his speech, fumed audience blasted him immediately, accusing him and fellow MPs of creating wars with Lwengo LC V. Chairman Mr. Kitatta Ibrahim Ali Malik with an intention of failing him.

The scuffle started and locals threatened to leave the meeting but later were cooled down.

The MC summoned the area MP Muhammad Muyanja Ssentayi to speak to the people at Bijaaba Kisiramu, he started his speech by attacking journalists and this annoyed the responsible officials and some locals and accused him (Muyanja)for behaving like those ones who want cheap politics instead of representing his constituents in the parliament.

Residents warned MP Muyanja to control his mouth or else he is bound to lose his seat come 2026 in the general elections.

It is alleged that MP Muyanja hired suspected hooligans from Katovu to Bijaaba, Kisiramu, and Lwempazi with the intention to disorganize the function.

This forced the district speaker Ssenozi Perigerino and other officials to chase the Kyanyamas to occupy behind seats.

Residents accused their three MPs namely; Cissy Namujju the Woman Mp for Lwengo district, Muhammad Muyanja Ssentayi Bukoto West, and Isaac Ssejjoba MP Bukoto Mid-West for fighting their LC. V.

They say that during the meeting held at Kamiti village in Kyazanga Rural recently, the three MPs helped by legislators from other constituencies publicly make negative statements against their Chairman.

Furthermore, they accuse them of denying Mr. Kitatta a microphone on that day to deliver his message before prime minister Robinah Nabanja Musafiri who was the chief guest.

Hajji Moses Kigongo the vice Chairperson National Resistance Movement (NRM) party last year when he was in Lwengo appreciated Mr. Kitatta for revealing some of the powerful things done by the NRM government and also being a chief mobilizer in the region and converting a huge number of youth from other opposition parties to NRM.
