President Félix Tshisekedi on Saturday asked the Congolese, in his address to the 250 youth delegates from the 26 provinces of the DRC at the Cité de l’AU, to consider the Rwandan President Paul Kagame as an enemy of peace in the country. #WhisperEyeNews
According to Tshisekedi, not all Rwandan people have a problem with DRC but it’s Kagame as a person and his henchmen who have a problem with his government.
“About Rwanda, it is useless to look at Rwanda as an enemy. No, it is the Rwandan regime, with Paul Kagame at its head, which is the enemy of the DRC” said Tshisekedi.
“Rwandans are our brothers and sisters. And, moreover, they need our help, because they are muzzled, to free them. They need our solidarity to rid us and rid Africa of this kind of retrograde leaders who bring back the methods of the 60s and 70s”, Félix Tshisekedi added
Condemning Paul Kagame’s warmongering and hegemonic ambitions, the Congolese Head of State said that the latter is one of the worst enemies of peace on the African continent.
“In 2020, we had to silence the guns in Africa. Unfortunately, we did not get there because of leaders such as Paul Kagame,” he regretted.
“And he prides himself on being a specialist in wars. Me in his place, I will hide. It is shameful and diabolical,” concluded President Félix Tshisekedi.
Last week, President Kagame also attacked Tshisekedi accusing him of using the Eastern Congo crisis to delay the Presidential elections in the country. Kagame also revealed that Tshisekedi never won the polls in his country was simply dragged to the podium and sworn in and thus should not despise those who helped him take power.
The RWANDA-DRC tensions are far from over with both sides accusing the other of sponsoring rebel activities aimed at overthrowing each other’s government militarily.
