The counting and tallying of votes cast on the August 9th General Election is ongoing across the country for the presidential and other various elective positions.
According to Kenya’s leading television Daily Nation, KTN News Kenya, and Citizen TV, confirmed that Raila was ahead of William Ruto.
At 22.53 Citizen TV was reporting Odinga had garnered 3,220216 12 50.52% and Ruto had garnered 3073443 48.20%
At 23.00 NTV was reporting Odinga had garnered 4231,236 as Ruto trailed closely to 4207,949
The nation had tallied close to 8578,590 votes out of close to 14 million votes.
Final results have begun streaming in, even as chaotic scenes rock vote tallying in some of the hotly contested areas.
The Kenya Media confirmed that IEBC allowed various media to tally votes as long as they maintain that there are provisional results.
Kenyans are still waiting for the final results from IEBC which is mandated to announce the winner in seven days.
However, the race is still tight to call between Odinga and Ruto.
