President Yoweri Museveni who has been in power for 35 years now ever since he captured power in 1986 has said that the life in the bush was uneasy and therefore the NRA was not there to pass time but rather to liberate this country from the bloody hands of the Obote regime.

Museveni adds that he is now proud of the country Uganda is becoming which respects human rights, the constitution, rule of law and the prevailing peace that has led to development.

Museveni also adds that even when certain groups like Kony and the ADF tried to bring back the bad days of insecurity in the country, the security forces managed to destroy them and this will always be the solution to so many others that want to bring trouble in Uganda.

Museveni also said that the only set back has been corruption but he is working tooth and nail to make sure that this disease is vaccinated because it has hindered the kind of development that is worth the 35 years of peace and security.
