Exclusive: Bravery Kalemera Umar saves father-in-law Witonze Juma, former NRM Gomba East MP contestant from Binjambia squad that came for his life.

Former NRM parliamentary candidate and CEO for Zain Investment Mr Juma Witonze was attacked by the Bijambiya welding gang and clobbered his son Kalemeera Umar to near death.

The incident happened at exactly 1:40 AM last Friday, at Mr. Witonze’s home at Kajjansi, Kitende Cell 1.

Hon Juma who was in the house-made an alarm but the gang advanced asking money from him and they started smashing the glasses of the front door window to gain access.

Within a minute they were inside where Kalema (22) vowed to defend his uncle against the gangs.

He tried to fight them but they overpowered him after cutting him seriously on the head, back, and arms using machetes.

Fortunately, Hon Juma had made a few calls and Kajjansi DPC responded quickly to save his life and the situation.

When the gang saw the patrol coming, they took off leaving Hon Juma uninjured after a brave fight from his son Kalema, who was in a pool of blood yearning for help.

Greatly injured Kalema was rushed to Kisubi Hospital and he has been in ICU since Friday morning.

Privy sources to Kajjansi Police Station told Whisper Eye News that one murderer was arrested and is currently being held at Kajjansi police station.

In an exclusive interview with Hon Juma, he told Whisper Eye News that; “This is the biggest tragedy ever happened in my entire life. If it wasn’t Umar to fight for my life I could be dead by now because they came with the mission of finishing me”.

“I beg the IGP to give me more security for my life is in danger and also making sure investigations are done to establish the motive of these killers,” Mr Witonze added.

Police has started investigations to the final conclusion of the attack
