The Gem Court Martial chaired by Lt Gen Andrew Gutti has released 6 NUP youths on bail who had jailed for allegedly possessing army store materials.

The accused include Isaac Bananuka 23, Eric Bazibu 19, Ibrah Musiga 19, Mike Kinalwa 28, Joel Odong 23, Fred Kayinamura 25 and Godrey Ochen 21.

On releasing the accused today, Gutti said he found their sureties substantial and hence granted them bail.

“The court has found merit in your bail application. You’re there ordered to execute each shs20m non cash and each of your sureties are also bonded 20m not cash.” Gutti said

The 6 were also barred from travelling outside Kampala and wakiso with those who will violet the bail terms prey to arrest by the security forces. The were also tasked to the court registrar once every month.

The victims had been arrested in April this year by Security operatives travelling in a van(drone) and later arraigned before the court martial, charged and taken to Kitalya.
