The Democratic party Uganda Secretary General Dr Gerald Siranda has vowed on how the green party will be the last to leave IPOD because it believes in peace and reconciliation rather than defiance.

Siranda has blamed the National Unity Platform for deliberately refusing to join the IPOD which is aimed at bringing parties together for the better of Uganda.

Siranda says that NUP is acting like a rebel group which doesn’t want to recognize the fact that the NRM is the one in power and thus it has by default to be part of IPOD.

Siranda’s words come at a time when NUP said they cannot sit on a round table with Gen Museveni who has been a helm of violating human rights as well as refusing to leave power peacefully.

Siranda also adds that the largest Platform of dialogue is Parliament but he has never seen NUP or FDC members throwing in the towel when things go wrong and thus asks NUP the leading opposition party to join the IPOD

Last week National Unity Platform Secretay General Mr. David Lewis informed IPOD leadership that NUP will not be joining iPod any time soon.

He listed several reasons why NUP reached that decision among which he accused IPOD of being a tea occasion platform that in its existence has failed to achieve anything related to its madante.
