Agriculture: Mpigi Woman MP Teddy Nambooze donates pigs to women groups in Nkozi Sub-County.

32 Co-operative groups aiming at development through agricultural practices across parishes in Nkozi Sub-county, Mpigi district benefited from a one-day induction organized by the district’s Woman Member of Parliament, Hon Teddy Nambooze at Bukunge the Sub-county headquarters.

The induction was organized by the MP under FADECA – The charity organization she founded, to implement development activities in the district.

It was mainly organized to enrich the group’s leadership with knowledge regarding successful cooperative unions/groups and also facilitate them with knowledge about piggery, an agricultural activity that yields heavy returns in minimal time, how to organize and have a successful group, and Saccos.

After the session, Hon Nambooze donated pigs, feeds to ‘Tuli Bumu Bukunge Silc Group’ which of all the groups that participated, was more organized to take the slot.

Speaking to Whisper Eye News, Hon Teddy Nambooze who is referred to as “Kalinnyamaggwa” said that she is looking forward to changing the lives of people in the entire district.

“I advised group leaders and members to carry on the banner as far as agriculture is concerned, so as to curb poverty and hunger in Nkozi,” says MP Nambooze.

Hon Nambooze pledged overwhelming support in form of advice, breeds, and farm inputs to increase their productivity.

Nkozi sub-county councilors appreciated their legislator for being pragmatic while facing the biggest challenge of poverty and in their area.
