Stop blackmailing me, Teary MP Ssegirinya Speaks About Police Summons Over Masaka Killings. Whisper Eye News

The Kawempe North MP Hon Ssegirinya was summoned together with his Makindye West counter part Allan Ssewanyana to appear before the Police Directorate of Criminal Investigation to record a statement about the ongoing Masaka killings.

Ssegirinya who just landed back in the country yesterday from the Netherlands says it is unbelievable and heartbreaking how Police are linking him to the ongoing murders in Masaka by Panga wielding men.

Ssegirinya says he cannot even personally slaughter a cock on his own because he hates looking at blood but was so surprised to see a letter from the Director of Criminal Investigation summoning him over things he doesn’t even know about.

Ssegirinya adds that when he heard about the Masaka killings, he was even thinking of extending some financial help to the families of the victims.

Ssegirinya also adds that the real killers are now being hidden and govt has decided to blackmail innocent people like him to sweep the dirt under the carpet.

Ssegirinya has however said he will respond positively to the summons and will drive to Masaka on the date they need him as per the summon letter.

Yesterday the Directorate of Criminal Investigation wrote to parliament through the Speaker summoning Hon Ssewanyana and Ssegirinya to appear at Masaka Police Station on 6th September at 10 am to record statements in respect to the ongoing investigations of killings in Masaka.
