Embattled MP Ssegirinya planning to fly out to dodge court, says Lawyer Kenneth Kakande. Whisper Eye News

Sulaiman Kidandala’s lawyer Kenneth Paul Kakande has told Whisper Eye News that Kawempe North MP Hon Ssegirinya Muhammed whom they took to court over lack of academic papers has applied for a Visa at the Germany Embassy to fly out and dodge court scheduled for 2nd September.

Kakande adds that Ssegirinya is aware that he used fake academic documents to be nominated as a candidate in the Kawempe North MP race and this is why he is playing games to defeat justice.

Electoral Commission Lawyer asked Court to dimiss the Ssegirinya case on grounds that he wasn’t served by Kidandala’s lawyers.

Kidandala claims that he and his lawyer went to Kityala prison where Ssegirinya was being detained to serve him only for Ssegirinya to refuse to accept his copy without his lawyers being present.

Kidandala says they have evidence that they went to Kityala with the OC willing to testify on the matter.

The Uganda Examination Board wrote a letter clarifying that the A’level and O’level documents Ssegirinya used for his nomination didnot actually belong to him.

Whisper Eye efforts to get a word from MP Ssegirinya was futile despite dozens of calls.
