Chapter Four, CCEDU among 54 Ngos indefinitely suspended by govt over various crimes. Whisper Eye News.

The government has suspended Non government organizations over various crimes.

In a detailed press statement released and signed by Okello Stephen this morning shows close to 54 NGOs suspended by the authorities.

Among 15 Ngos suspended indefinitely include, Chapter Four founded by city lawyer Nicholas Opio and Citizens Coalition for Electoral Democtay in Uganda (CCEDU) manned by Maria Matembe a former minister and MP among others.

16 NGOs work was halted after it was discovered that they are operating without registering with the NGO Bureau.

23 NGOs work was also halted after it was ddiscovered that they operated without valid licences permits.

According to the press statement, authorities should ensure that the suspended NGOS do ensure complied with the directives.
