Don’t risk going to streets over Lumbuye arrest, Deputy IGP Lokech warns public. Whisper Eye News

Deputy IGP Paul Lokech has warned the public against being tempted to go the streets to riot if NUP blogger Lumbuye is brought back to Uganda.

Lokech says Police has gathered Intelligence showing that certain opposition politicians are ganging up people to riot especially in Kampala as soon as Lumbuye steps his feet on Ugandan soil again.

Lokech adds that the security forces will not act soft this time especially when it has sounded the loudest warning against any form of gathering or riots especially in these trying moments of Covid 19.

“Don’t risk going to the streets because it will not be nice for you. We have intelligence reports showing that some of you are planning to riot over these issues of Lumbuye. Don’t be tempted.” Lokech warned.

NUP popular vlogger Fred Kajubi Lumbye was arrested in Turkey last week over unknown claims.

Minister Oryem claimed Lumbuye was to be deported together with other Ugandans however until now Lumbuye is believed to be under Turkish police detention.
