The National Unity Platform (NUP) spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi yesterday donated medical equipments to Naguru referral hospital in Nakawa Divison Kampala.

Handing over the medical supplies, Nakawa West MP Joel Ssenyonyi, said the move is part of his social responsibility besides ensuring effective representation.

MP Joel Ssenyonyi said the real war we have currently is a health war, so we should do as much as we can in that regard.

The new MP added that plans are also underway to provide more to Naguru Referral hospital to ensure easy accessibility to the Nakawa residents area, especially during this period.

Among things donated include, assorted medicines, 400ltrs of sanitizer, PPE-Personal Protective Equipment,

The occasion was also attended by the hospital management who received Joel Ssenyonyi’s donation.

According to the ministry of health, Naguru Hospital is meant to decongest Mulago National Referral Hospital, the only general public hospital serving an estimated 3 million inhabitants of the Kampala Metropolitan Area.

The hospital has a vision of being a centre of excellence in providing specialized and general health services.
