KCCA Deputy Director Engineer David Luyimbazi has warned that there will be no room for shoddy work and corruption at Kampala Capital City Authority.

Whisper Eye has learnt that the Luyimbazi warning comes at a time when many construction companies are reportedly courting KCCA for consideration of the upcoming contracts award for roads construction in the capital worth USD 288 million.

Eng Luyimbazi speaking to Whisper Eye last evening explained that the pressure being mounted on them is of no value since the procurement process has established checks and balances among bidder companies.

It’s widely reported that many companies will miss out after some of KCCA staff had a hand or connection with bidders promising them favor from these slots numbering to 5.

Mr Luyimbazi insists that at KCCA no room for shoddy, corruption, and delays in road construction.

KCCA has come to the spotlight after it reached its final stage to award road construction contracts.
