Embattled Kawempe North MP Muhammad Ssegirinya paid a courtesy call on the NUP Secretary-General Devid Lewis Rukiri popularly known as Rubongoya at party offices at Kamwokya, Kampala.

Hon. Ssegirinya was sued for forging academic papers he used for his member of parliament nominations.

Today morning MP Ssegirinya met National Unity Platform (NUP) Secretary-General Mr. David Lewis to discuss issues of the party.

“Hon. Ssegirinya Muhammad paid a courtesy call on me this morning at the NUP Secretariat. Among other things, he briefed me about the several projects he is doing for the people of Kawempe North constituency,” says Mr. Rukiri.

“One of our key values is servant leadership, and we are grateful to all NUP leaders who continue to serve their people in different ways. That is the true spirit of People Power,” NUP Secretary-general explained.

NUP is Uganda’s major opposition party following January 2021 presidential and parliamentary elections winning 57 parliamentary second to the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM).
