5 Teachers, 37 pupils arrested while conducting normal classes during lockdown

Sheema Central police station Kabwohe has this afternoon arrested 5 teachers and 37 pupils of Bugongi preparatory school after being found red handed attending normal lessons at school which is against the presidential directives against covid-19.

ASP Steven Niragire the acting DPC Sheema district said that they were tipped off by the parents of the same school which is found in Kaziko village , Bugongi town council in Sheema district complainingly that the directors of the school are forcing them to take back their children to school to study which some of the parents refused though some adhered and sent them back.

Bugongi town council mayor Tugume Wilson Control said that what shocks and hurts most is that the two directors of the school are civil servants who would be good examples to local people.

The 37 pupils were registered and then sent back home while the five teachers are now in Sheema Central police station custody and the two directors are still on the run.
