Bull FC knock out Kigezi Home Boyz FC of Stanbic Uganda Cup

Kigezi Home Boyz Football club has dropped out of the Stanbic Bank Uganda cup after losing 2-1 to Bull Football club. Kigezi Home Boyz FC suffered defeat at Kabale Municipal Stadium in Kabale town on Tuesday evening.  

Bull FC’s Richard Wadyaka missed a penalty in the 20th minute after being fouled by Kigezi Home boyz’s winger, Grant Matsiko. Kigezi Home Boyz’, Jonathan Muteesa Lucio netted home a header from Matsiko in the 45th minute. However, in the 56th minute, Bull FC striker Musa Esenu beat Kigezi Home Boy’s defenders Jonathan Mutesa and Philemon Lutaya to score an equalizer.    

In the 84th minute, 17-year-old Bull FC’s Owen Mukisa substituted Joseph Semujju to change the game. Mukisa fulfilled his dream and scored the winning goal in the 86th minute to break Kigezi Home Boyz’s hopes of qualifying on a home win.  

Kigezi Home Boyz’s had early this month lost 1-0 to Bull FC in a game played at Kyabazinga Stadium in Kampala. Alex Isabirye, the Bull FC head coach, says that however much Kigezi Home Boyz FC showed more tactics in the first half, they remained static, which gave Bull a chance to neutralize them.  

Denis Tushabe alias Kapi, the Kigezi Home Boyz head coach says that his players did what they could but were overpowered by their more experienced rivals. He also blamed the loss on poor match officiation.  

Bull FC will play Proline on Friday at Lugogo in the first leg of the quarter-finals.
