The Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) students have called for a strike over delayed clearance by the Mbale main branch administration to the 29th graduation ceremony slated for this month on 10th April 2021.

Whisper Eye has learnt that hundreds of students may miss out on the coming graduation over what has been described as unnecessary queries from the university administrations despite students clearing with all the departments.

Speaking to some of the students frustrated with what they have described as unbearable conditions at the university, roared that the administration is frustrating students despite them paying close to 400, 000 in graduation fees.

“You can imagine these people have failed to clear us for graduation after fully paying all required fees, it seems they want us to pay for their gowns too, said a student speaking to Whisper Eye.

Whisper Eye’s efforts to speak to the university was futile however some sources within the administration distanced themselves with the delays of clearing all students for graduation.
