“I have no agreement with CEC over the speakership.” Rt Hon Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga

Am so determined to serve as the speaker for the 3rd term, Hon Kadaga has come out to say that she did not go into any agreement with the NRM CEC over the speakership seat.

“The CEC of 2015 is an old CEC. It did its work and finished. Last year another CEC came in and it has not yet sat. I have never signed any agreement with them. What you see in the papers is rubbish.” She says

Kadaga adds that there is a group of MPs some of whom will not be part of the 11th parliament are behind the false propaganda of saying that she had agreed with CEC to serve her last term between 2016-2021.

Kadaga says that upto now she doesn’t understand why she is being pushed towards the wall over the speakership seat as if the position has term limits.

“The MPS are the voters no CEC. Some of those against me won’t even be voters since they won’t be part of the 11th parliament. Hon. Ruth Nankabirwa is among them.

She even uses the state house switch board to threaten my supporters. Whom does she think she is.” Kadaga roared

Kadaga faces stiff competition from Deputy Speaker Jacob Ohlanyah camp who have threatened to tear are up and defeat her ambitions of serving as the speaker for a third time in the row.

Rebecca Kadaga also faces court battle over her MP seat for Kamuli Distcrt Woman MP after FDC iron Lady Salamu Musumba who came second dragged her to court over vote rigging.
