Kidandala seeks permission to serve Ssegirinya petition documents in prison

Sulaman Kidandala has sought consent from the court to permit him to serve Muhammad Ssegirinya his election petition documents.

On 20th March 2020 Kampala former deputy Mayor Kidandala Sserwadda dragged the Kawempe North MP-elect to court seeking to nullify his election over lack of the required academic documents.

This was after UNEB denied Ssegirinya’s O and A level documents saying they belonged to two female students.

Ssegirinya beat the incumbent Kawempe North Member of Parliament Latif Ssebagala a fellow National Unity Platform member who also contested as an independent and Sulaiman Kidandala in the January national elections.

He is currently being held at Kitalya prisons where he was remanded after he was charged for inciting violence.

Ssegirinya headed several people in what they called a peaceful demonstration demanding the release of their party members and an end to the increasing abductions leading to his arrest.
