Big Win: KCCA FC defeats MYDA 5-0 in League Match

Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club returned to winning ways with a 5-0 thumping of new comers MYDA FC at the MTN Omondi stadium on Saturday.

The huge Stare Times Uganda Premier League win comes as a relief for the giants after losing three games of their last four.

In a game entirely dominated by Mike Mutebi’s side, KCCA FC took the lead after only five minutes through Moses Aliro. Despite dominating KCCA FC continued to miss several scoring chances.

In the second half midfielder Bright Anukani doubled the lead after 54th minute after a good cross from Charles Lwanga. The in-form Lwanga later netted two goals to give KCCA FC a comfortable 4-0 lead before Anukani netted a late penalty.

KCCA FC started the 2021 season campaign with a great performance after three consecutive wins including the 8-0 thrashing of Onduparaka. However, coach Mike Mutebi’s side went on to suffer defeats to SC Villa, URA FC and Bidco FC. The win for KCCA FC takes them to 13 points in eight games.

Meanwhile new comes MYDA FC have faced their seventh loss in the league. Coach Abdul Swamadu Musafiri’s side has not registered a single win the 2021 season campaign and they lie second last on the League table. 

Elsewhere in another League game played visiting Express FC beat Bidco FC 4-0, while Wakiso Giants held URA FC to a goalless draw. SC Villa also beat new comers Kitara FC 3-2. Reigning champions Vipers remain top of the table with 18 points.
