Uganda faces Morocco in do or die must win match if they are to qualify for the next round
The cranes have found themselves in a similar situation just like in the CHAN Tournament of 2014 as they must win against defending champions Morocco to highlight their chances of going past the group stages.
The cranes are bottom placed after only managing to pocket one point in the two games they have played. The third game for the cranes has thrown them in a situation where they must bag 3 points against Morrocco and then pray for a favouring results from the Togo-Rwanda game.
The cranes coach Jonathan Mckinstry has been under public criticism over his team selection with many thinking he leaves good players on the bench and start average players. However he has always been defending himself that he uses players who fit in his game plan.
The cranes have also only managed to score just a single goal in this year’s tournament which they did against Togo in the 2-1 loss courtsey of Sayid Kyeyune thunder bolt strike.
With history not on the cranes side, they have a mountain to climb having failed to go past the group stages in all the past CHAN Tournaments they have participated in.
