NRM flags off team to dislodge Bobi Wine’s NUP from Kampala
The National Resistance Movement (NRM) Vice Chairman for Buganda Region who doubles as Mityana North MP, Hon. Godfrey Kiwanda Ssuubi has flagged off all the party flag-bearers for Kampala district today at Kololo Independence grounds.
Hon Kiwanda who is also the Minister of State for Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, reminded the flag bearers of the four core NRM principles including Pan-Africanism, Social economic transformation, Democracy and Nationalism which has stirred Uganda to this far.
“As the Vice Chairman of Buganda region, we are here to fully endorse our support to the party Chairman and we want to win Kampala for NRM come 2021.
NRM is a mass party because we managed to come up with candidates at all positions who were chosen by the people,” he said.
He congratulated the flag bearers for successfully winning the party primaries and further congratulated them for being nominated by the Independent Electoral Commission (EC).
Minister Kiwanda vowed to dislodge Bobi Wine’s party National Unity Platform (NUP) from Kampala as they have successfully defeated it in upcountry areas according to him.
