Privy sources close to NUP president Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu a.k.a Bobi Wine told Whisper Eye that his worsened relationship with singer Eddy Yawe was directly involved to deny him party ticket.

Mr Eddy Yawe joined politics in 2011 and his votes were rigged by the National Resistance Movement (NRM) in Kampala Central constituency losing to Muhammad Nsereko.

On Kawempe North, NUP has failed to decide on their candidate.

Among those on top of the list are Mr Sulaiman Kidandala Sserwadda who has the highest chances of winning the constituency for the party.

However on the other hand, there is Mr Ssegirinya Muhammad popularly known as Mr Update who has been active in the party.

In Rubaga North, NUP has also failed to agree on the MP candidate for the constituency.

However although Mr Mubiru James has been active in the party even before the merger, during the days of People Power Movement he was dropped.

The dropping of such leaders has a direct negative impact on the party Experts warn.

Whisper Eye efforts to get a word from NUP leadership was futile.
