Opposition forces of change have today been shocked by Bobi Wine’s decision to a ward Kampala Lord Mayor NUP ticket to MP Nabirah Naggayj Ssempala.
According to reports from National Unity Platform (NUP) party president Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu also known as Bobi Wine took over from the Elections Management committee the responsibility of deciding who should be the Party flag bearer on the post of Kampala Lord Mayor.
Commissioner Bikumbi Tonney popularly know as Tony Houles revealed to a friend that the committee had decided to award Mr Joseph Mayanja the ticket after successfully went through the whole process.
“No one is fighting Chameleone (Joseph Mayanja) Rasta (Bobi Wine) has issues with him. The EC committee had decided to award him the ticket,” says Commissioner Tony Houles.
Kampala Woman MP was rejected by the biggest opposition political party in Uganda Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) on allegations that she is closely working with president Museveni.
During the amendment of Article 102(b) in the 1995 Uganda constitution, in the famous ‘Togikwatako’ campaign Hon Nabirah Naggayi Ssempala was financed by NRM regime to a juicy trip to Canada and did not vote in the Parliament according to FDC officials.
Thus helping president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni a greenlight to rule Uganda for life.
The united forces of change are wondering Mr Wine’s decision to award MP Nabirah with NUP ticket for Kampala Lord Mayor.
Hon Nabirah was a councillor on Wakiso district local government, and in 2006 was elected Kampala district woman MP and will be making 20years in public office at the end of this year.
