NUP Executive Secretary endorses Kazibwe Bashir for Kawempe South. Whisper Eye Reports

The National Unity Platform Executive Secretary, David Lewis Rubongoya has endorsed media personality, Kazibwe Bashir Mbaziira for the Kawempe South seat leaving Roy Ssemboga cursing.

Although it’s not yet official and public, sources inside NUP intimate that there is a boiling feud within as a section of High Command members led by Eddie Mutwe, Joel Ssenyonyi, Daniel Oyerwot alias Dan Magic and David Lewis Rubongoya chose to rally behind Kazibwe Bashir.

According to our credible sources, a distressed Ssemboga is striving hard to prove his worth by replicating past social media photos of him with the principal.

Roy’s closeness to Bobi dates back to the old days when he served as the 82nd guild president of Makerere in 2015/16.

Roy also played a commendable role in helping Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu win the Kyadondo East seat and hence he deems it automatic that this debt can be repaid with a flag.

However, on the contrary, Bobi distanced himself from making any endorsement and left everything to be settled by the NUP Elections management committee.

This committee found that Kazibwe Bashir is more established and deeply rooted on ground in Kawempe leaving Roy’s candidature in tatters.

On Sunday, a frustrated Ssemboga used parables to lash out at Rubongoya whom he believes to have masterminded his fall.

In a brief cyphered biblically alluded caption, Ssemboga relates himself to Abel who was murdered by Cain (Rubongoya) and this at the end of the tunnel never left the latter being Adam’s (Bobi’s) most favoured child!
