Exclusive: URSB Director Fiona Bayiga has been sacked for under performance. Whisper Eye Reports.

Whisper Eye has learnt that Uganda Registration Service Bureau (URSB) Director of Business Registration Ms Fiona Bayiga has been sacked.

A trusted reliable source has intimated to Whisper Eye that Ms Bayiga has been sacked by Bemanya Twebaze, the Registrar General of URSB on allegations of under performance and expiry of her contract.

The sacking of Ms Bayiga has caused massive internal celebrations among the staff of Uganda Registration Service Bureau .

A source close to Bemanya Twebaze indicate that a decision was reached to end Ms Fiona Bayiga life with URSB after assessing that she had nothing new to offer.

Despite her sacking the agency is yet to issue a statement on the new developments officially .

Ms. Fiona Bayiga also served as the Director, Civil Registration and Director, Intellectual Property before being appointed the director of Business Registration .

She is a a lawyer and married to Paul Bakibinga a senior producer and presenter on BBC World Service.

The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) is a semi-autonomous government agency, established by Act of Parliament 1998 in Uganda.

URSB is responsible for civil registrations (including marriages and divorces but not including births, adoptions, or deaths), business registrations (setups and liquidations), registration of patents and intellectual property rights, and any other registrations required by law.

Whisper Eye efforts to get a word from Ms Bayiga was futile despite our efforts however a source close to her indicate she was very disappointed about leaving URSB in such a manner .
